This is the website of Northumbria Smallholders Association. We are a group of like minded people, from the North East of England who enjoy the countryside and all that goes with it.

The Northumbria Smallholders Association (formerly known as Kirkley Smallholders Association) was formed about 21 years ago after a smallholders course at Kirkley Hall College finished and the people on the course wanted to keep in touch and help each other out.

We changed our name at the beginning of 2000 at the suggestion and vote of our members, partly because we do not have an association with Kirkley Hall any more and partly because Northumbria pinpoints the area we are in.

You do not have to have a smallholding to be a member of our club, most of our members either have a dream or a garden where they may keep poultry or grow vegetables.

If you are a like minded person, living in the Northumbria area, and would like more information please do not hesitate to contact us. Please see our contact page for more information on how to do this.

Please feel free to look around our site and you may find something of interest.
